Megan Lim (林惠仪) is a Singaporean designer/artist
based in London.
Curious in the controversial, she believes in using design as a tool to navigate, mediate and understand tensions in society. She creates new narratives to provoke existing ones, challenging the systems we live by.
By exploring the realms of inter-generational memory, she is constantly questioning traditions, ideas and practices that have been passed down and have assimilated into the ‘norm’.
Through the unpacking of the notion of identity, she aims to learn more about our unconscious selves and our hidden prejudices we hold against others – exploring aspects of our true natures that live simultaneously and synchronously in private and public systems.
