Accidental self-inflicted wounds from walking into walls and jamming toes into beds are amateurly stitched together as replacement for the lack of physical ability to dress the wound.

The act of sewing – from recollections of magically patched trousers from a bad fall and tightened elastic waistbands of PE shorts, is a reflection of her presence once taken for granted, in attempts to embrace the inevitability of her mortality and the fear of loss.
